New boots :)

Hi Diary,

This is just a really quick catch up as I am trying to convince Rhys that I am going on a holiday and will not have to work. Apparently he's heard they work horses everyday at the hotel I'm going to. I'm sure he must be mistaken - even my mum doesn't make me work EVERY day!

Anyways, here's a couple of new photos of me in my new boots. Apparently they'll help to keep my legs safe when I go on the moving box.

I think I look pretty darn cool, do you agree? Luckily Humma Humma Honey wasn't in her bedroom when I tried my boots on for the first time as I panicked a little to start with. Well... I swear something was trying to get under my tail and kill me. On closer reflection it may well be that moving my back legs makes the top of the boot tap me but how the hell was I supposed to know that???

That's it for the moment, I'm still trying to get mum to photo my feet - maybe she will bring the camera later.

Shoes off!

14th October 2011

Dear Diary,

I thought I would start writing to you as I have to tell someone about whats happening with my feet. Apparently, I'm boring the pants of Kermit so Rhys suggested I tell you everything instead!

First let me introduce myself. As you will see from the photo I am a dashed handsome dude. My mum says I am about 16.3hh but I am a little scared of the measuring stick so no-one knows for sure. Well, I pretend to be scared but, cards on the table, if no-one knows how big I am they can't say I eat too much for my size - yes, brains as well as brawn!

I have had a few issues with my feet and Auntie B reckons they should swap my legs for sticklebrick ones. Silly Auntie B, how will I swing the sickies if they do that?!!

My feet have been aching for a while but it gets soooo much worse in Summer - that rock hard ground hurts like mad, although the extra sweet grass is always a welcome distraction!
Anyway, this year my mum got the Mad Needle Lady to come and see me. Now she is nice and I like her a lot but she does insist on keeping stabbing me with needles - maybe she thinks I'm a big brown pin cushion? MNL took some photos of my feet which Mum told me showed I have something called Badvicular, some rings in my bone and a bit of arthritis. I think thats what they're called anyway.
MNL has been trying loads of things to make my feet stop hurting. I have been left in my box for 5 weeks which actually wasn't so bad - everyone came and talked to me and gave me cuddles. Plus I had the Humma Humma Honey to gaze at across the yard.
I have had funny shoes put on with gel pads in them, Adequan, Tildren, Navilox & steroids (I am still waiting for my muscles to appear following that injection but so far all thats grown is my belly).
I do feel a little more comfortable now but my Mum has sussed that this is because I am not doing any work! Damn her, she is obsessed with making me work.
So, Mum has been speaking to lots of people and today she asked the foot man to take my shoes off!
WHAT???!!! I can't live without my shoes. Humma Humma Honey will think I'm even more of a scruffy yokel if I wander around with nothing on my feet - life is so unfair! I will ask my Mum to take some photos of my naked feet so you can tell me if I look as scruffy as I think.

But, do you know what Diary, it actually feels quite nice! The stones aren't too bad and I can get to and from my field without really noticing them.

Mum also tells me I am going to go for a little holiday soon which will be nice. She said I am going to stay with a nice lady called Nic and that she will help me to make my feet stronger. Thats just what a need, a couple of weeks in the sunshine, kicking up my naked heels and romancing the ladies! Bliss!
I was a little suspicious that mum hasn't mentioned work as thats her favourite pastime but maybe she is coming round to my way of thinking and now realises I deserve a sunshine break?

Anyway, I'm off to discuss the holiday with Dixie as he is very wise and he will know what I need to pack.
